Privacy Policy for TT Cut
This Privacy Policy applies to the TT Cut (乒乓快剪) mobile application developed by Tinglei Cui. TT Cut is built around a simple principle: the videos you select should remain under your control.
1. Information we collect
TT Cut does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information with the developer. The app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
2. Videos and audio
When you choose a video, TT Cut processes its picture and audio tracks locally on your device to find possible table tennis rallies. Selected videos, extracted analysis data, thumbnails, edits, and exported clips are not uploaded to the developer or to a TT Cut server.
3. Local storage and retention
Videos you import are stored as drafts in the app's private local storage. Draft storage is excluded from iCloud Backup, and you can delete a draft at any time from Drafts. Draft and collection data—including thumbnails, analysis state, edits, video and clip titles, descriptions, tags, and custom tag definitions—remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app. Temporary analysis and export files are removed when their workflow finishes or during a later app launch. Copies you explicitly save to Photos remain there until you delete them from Photos.
4. Permissions
- Photos selection: used only to let you choose a video to analyze.
- Add to Photos: used only when you ask TT Cut to save clips or a highlight reel to your photo library.
- Camera and microphone: the bundled media component includes system camera and audio interfaces, so iOS may display related permission descriptions. TT Cut does not automatically record video or audio and only processes media you select.
You can review or change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Purchases, sharing, and third-party services
Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. TT Cut only checks the resulting entitlement and does not operate a developer purchase account or transaction server. TT Cut uses the iOS share sheet only when you choose to share exported files. The destination app or service you select may process the shared files under its own privacy policy. TT Cut does not control those third-party services.
6. App Store review feedback
TT Cut opens Apple's review page only when you choose to write a review. Apple handles your rating, review, and App Store account information, and your review may be displayed publicly. TT Cut does not read or separately collect what you submit.
7. Children's privacy
TT Cut does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other user.
8. Security
Processing media locally reduces exposure, but no device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device with appropriate system security settings and keep iOS up to date.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if TT Cut's features or legal requirements change. The revision date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
